About the Site

This is my personal blog. The bits about my background and day-to-day activities that I think could be compelling to tech-minded people, I share here. Other bits could surface from time to time as well.

About the Name

I made up the word “modelesis” (or so I’d like to believe). My goal was to create a term that defines my penchant for creating mental models for mostly everything around me. I believe our capability to successfully take in the world around us relies largely on our capability to model said world in meaningful ways. Whereas “analysis” is about decomposing and understanding, and “synthesis” is about summarizing and explaining, “modelesis” is about grasping things with a holistic approach within a conceptually sound and context-sensitive framework. I strive to do that with more of the world around me.
